Course Description
As a Sport Pilot, here’s a few things you should know:
- While the minimum training required is 20 hours, the nationwide average is closer to 50 hours of flight training
- Being a Sport Pilot allows you to fly during the day time, in Visual Meteorological Conditions. This usually means good visibility, and clear skies.
- You do not need to hold a Medical Certificate, as long as you have a valid US Driver’s License.
This course typically takes about 1-2 months to complete, if you are flying three days per week.
If you are doing this course full time, with one or two flights per day, you can become a Sport Pilot in as little as two weeks! If you are on a time crunch, we can assemble a perfect accelerated course for you.
In order to become a Sport Pilot, you will need the following:
- At least 17 years old when taking your checkride (you can start training at 16 years old)
